Senior Backend Engineer — APIs & Infrastructure
Jopoin Bivoxo as a Senior RPA Developer. Lead complex automation projects, design cutting-edge solutions, and mentor junior develers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build high-performance REST/GraphQL APIs and services powering multiple client products simultaneously.
- Architect backend systems for scale from day one — client products at Bivoxo go live fast and grow faster.
- Own cloud infrastructure decisions on AWS: compute, queues, caching, deployment pipelines, the works.
- Set the technical bar for backend code quality across projects — through code review, standards, and direct mentorship.
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents fast, with the ownership mindset of someone who treats client uptime as personal.
- Partner with frontend and database specialists to make sure the whole stack — not just your layer — actually performs.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools and services (including AI/LLM APIs) where they genuinely improve a client's product.
Architect the Backbone of Multiple Client Products at Once
You'll make the calls other backend engineers look to for the answer: how a service should be structured, when to introduce a queue, how to keep an API fast under real load. Bivoxo runs lean and senior-heavy, so your architectural decisions ship into production quickly, with minimal bureaucracy standing between your judgment and real users.
Requirements:
- 5+ years building and scaling backend systems in production — APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
- Deep experience with Node.js (or a comparable backend stack) and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Strong grasp of AWS infrastructure — compute, networking, deployment pipelines, monitoring.
- Track record of diagnosing and resolving production incidents under real pressure.
- Comfortable mentoring other engineers and setting technical standards, not just writing your own code well.
- Experience architecting systems that serve multiple products/clients concurrently is a strong plus.
- Bonus: experience integrating LLM/AI APIs into backend services.
